The Ghost Ranger series by Nick Myers

About Nick Myers
Born Nick Alan Myers in 1962 at Brookley Air Force Base in Mobile, Alabama,  I am the oldest of four children.  I graduated from Lyman Ward Military Academy in 1980, and enlisted in the Army Reserves during my senior year.  I would eventually serve some twenty-six years in both the Army Reserves and the Alabama Army National Guard as both enlisted and commissioned.  I also graduated from the Army's Signal Corp's Basic and Advanced Officer's School as well as the Command and General Staff College.  I was Honorable Discharge in October 2006 at the rank of Major..

I graduated from Athens State College with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Public Safety Administration and spent nearly twenty one years working as a law enforcement officer in the State of Alabama.  In September 2004, I took early retirement from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.  During my career I worked in the Corrections Division, Patrol Division, Vice & Narcotics Unit and as Special Federal Officer with the Birmingham FBI.  I spent ten years detailed to the FBI, first working Organized Crime then after 9/11, I was assigned to the Joint Terrorism Task Force.  My last assignment was that as the Narcotics Unit Supervisor..

While I was working in law enforcement, I began to toy with the idea of opening my own business and in 1999, I created, developed and designed Alabama Storage, LLC.  Initially built as a small side venture, the business continued to grow, and late in 2004 I took early retirement to develope full time.  I went back to school to train and get certified as both a licensce contractor and self storage operator.  By the end of 2004, I had expanded my first location and opened a second facility.  Both properties would continue to expand and the addition of moving trucks and mobile containers were added.  In 2007, I was offered a buyout deal for both properties, 12 commercial acres, 1 restaurant, 38 buildings, 100, 000 square feet of indoor storage and a fleet of vehicles and storage containers.  Upon completion of the purchase, my family retired again and moved to Colorado.

I am the father of three children whom I am very proud of and since retiring have pursued several goals to include learning how to play the piano and to be published as an amateur novelist.  I enjoy reading, fishing, football and snowmobiling.  The family still maintains a residence on beautiful Smith Lake in Alabama where they vacation frequently.

Nick is an active member of The Alumni Association of Southern Industrial Institute and Lyman Ward Military Academy.  Anyone wanting additional information about the school, please visit http://www.lwma.org.
